We're thrilled to announce an important milestone in the RCP planning process! On the portal, you'll find:

This initial introduction is intended for key stakeholders, the city council, staff, and the planning department. Your expert and thoughtful feedback on these resiliency elements will help shape a framework that truly reflects your community's needs and aspirations.

Once the full preliminary plan draft review is completed, the community will be invited to review and provide their comments.

How to participate in the Resiliency Comp Plan Review:

Your specialized knowledge is invaluable to us. We're counting on your expertise to ensure our plan effectively addresses both today's needs and tomorrow's challenges. Please review the following documents within the review panel.

Reviewing is easy as 1, 2, 3! Add a comment, suggestion, or feedback by clicking on the document and adding a marker. You have three options to navigate and review the Resiliency Goals and Objectives:

  • Step 1: Browse

    Familiarize yourself with the complete document by scrolling through from the top.

  • Step 2: Summary

    Use the Summary blocks to navigate the document by topic.

  • Step 3: AI Service

    Use the AI Service to search the document by keyword.

  • Plan Assessment

    Review and assess all existing documents, including previous comprehensive plans, the county hazard mitigation plan, and other studies and initiatives, will be reviewed to inform and guide the development of the new plan.

    Community resiliency refers to the ability of the community to anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from significant adverse events, particularly natural hazards.

    Housing demographics play a crucial role in planning for towns in the Lone Star State by providing insight into current and future needs for residential development. Understanding trends in homeownership, rental rates, housing types, and affordability allows communities to align land use and infrastructure plans with evolving demands.
